Club memberships PDF 24K
Any Lions Club in the geographic areas we serve can become a member of the LEF by paying a one-time application fee of $100 and annual contributions of $9 per individual Lion. Member clubs are entitled to refer patients. Click here to download Club Membership application form.
Honorary/in-Memory donations PDF 24K
A special gift to the LEF, as a Memorial of in Honor of a Special Occasion is a thoughtful gesture - A living Tribute! It not only honors a dear friend or a loved one, or salutes a special occasion, it means others are helped. Memorial gifts are recorded in the "In Memoriam" book and those honored by Special Occasion gifts are notified of the congratulatory expressions made in their honor. Helen Keller Fellowships PDF 24K
Helen Keller challenged Lions to become 'Knights of the Blind' and to devote their energies to improving the vision of mankind. The LEF has accepted this challenge, and has created a Helen Keller Fellowship to recognize those who commit at least $1,000 to the LEF. Both a plaque and a lapel pin are issued for $1,000 and adding a ruby, sapphire, and diamond to the lapel pin recognizes progressive contributions in increments of $1,000. Foundation Life Memberships PDF 24K
To become a Life Member entails making a commitment of $500. All Life membership payments go into a Restricted Fund, the income from which is only used to pay for direct medical expenses for CHILDREN, that is persons under the age of 18. Obey that impulse to enroll as a Life member of the LEF. You will be in good company and will know that your contribution is helping support a program in the highest tradition of lionism. General Donations PDF 24K
General donations are always welcome, especially for the General Fund, which is used to cover all expenses of the LEF, except for direct medical expenses for children (see Life Memberships. above). Any amount is accepted, and you can specify how much and where you want the money applied. Vehicle Donations PDF 32K
Turn that old vehicle into "Dollars for Sight." We can accept most any vehicle, with one major restriction - if applicable, by California State law, it must be able to pass a smog test. The only expenses we incur are possible transportation costs and a fee charged when the vehicle is auctioned off. Typically the LEF nets at least 90 percent of the auction price. Wills and Bequests PDF 86K
Have you considered including the LEF in your Estate Plans? There are a number of options available for your considerations. To name a few, you can designate the LEF as a direct beneficiary, you can have options that give you or a surviving spouse income for life, you can set up endowments, etc. Click here to download the Wills and Bequest form.
Capital Campaign Contributions PDF 32K
The LEF has started a Capital Campaign to raise Five Million Dollars to establish a Lions Eye Center as part of the rebuilding of the California Pacific Medical Center to meet seismic standards. This Eye Center will permit us to serve our needy patients in a more cost-effective and better manner. It will also permit us to serve the anticipated annual growth in the number of patients. Due to importance of this project, the LEF has pledged to match the first $250,000 coming from or through Lions Clubs with its own money.
